Dr Ben Waldron is a full time specialist anaesthetist, having joined the Department of Anaesthesia at The Alfred Hospital in 2013. He obtained a B.Sc (Biochemistry and Pharmacology) and M.B.B.S. at Melbourne University. Following completion of specialist Anaesthesia training at The Alfred Hospital, he has undertaken a Fellowship in Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Anaesthesia at Aarhus University Hospitalaet, Skejby Denmark followed by a Fellowship in Perioperative Echocardiography (Transoesophageal and Transthoracic Echocardiography) at The Royal Brompton Hospital, London. He has a special interest in Cardiac and Thoracic anaesthesia and diagnostic and point of care echocardiography, is active in echocardiography education and has a number of publications in the area.
