Carolyn Arnold FAFRM FFPMANZCA, is a Physician in Pain Medicine and also in Rehabilitation Medicine, who as a VMO in the Department of Anaesthesia works on the Acute Pain Service. Her broad experience and physician viewpoint has strengthened the APS management of complex patients.
Carolyn is also the director of the multidisciplinary chronic pain service in Alfred Health based at Caulfield Hospital “Caulfield Pain Management & Research Centre”. Carolyn’s enthusiasm for Pain Medicine has achieved Faculty of Pain Medicine Accreditation for Alfred Health and the establishment of the training and pain fellowships.
Carolyn’s research interests include pain outcomes after trauma, phantom limb pain, psychosocial aspects of pain rehabilitation. Carolyn is a collaborative team player with a depth of experience in her clinical field and in leadership.
She is a former president of the Australian Pain Society and current member of the Board of Faculty of Pain Medicine in
