Dr Mark Langley
Visiting Medical Officer
Areas of Interest
Major Plastics and Reconstructive surgery
Mark Langley is an Alfred boy through and through; he was born Margaret Coles House in 1959. He received his 25 year service certificate in 2015. His greatest fear is dying at the Alfred as his epitaph will reveal a tragically unambitious life.
He first came to Alfred Anaesthesia in the first cohort of fifth year trainees, provisional fellows, in 1989. He was a Full time Staff Anaesthetist from 1990 until 2007. He was Supervisor of training from 1994 until 1999. He was an ANZCA primary examiner from 1994 until 2003 and served on the VCCAMM for 14 years until resigning in 2006.
He has predominantly been in Private Practice since 2007. He has a particular interest in Anaesthesia for major plastics and currently is seen regularly in OR8. He continues to teach primary exam material ; especially measurement and physics.
He is married to Rachel who was PA to the previous Director of Anaesthesia ( Tony Weeks) and Office Manager before Louvella. Mark has an interest in Camping and Bushwalking in the Victorian High Country and drives a v large urban inappropriate dual cab ute with many bells and whistles.
He is very content.
