Areas of Interest
Difficult Airway Management
My training was completed at St. Vincent’s in Melbourne, with a fellowship year at Royal Melbourne Hospital, prior to starting my consultant career as a staff specialist at the Alfred.
My clinical areas of interest are airway surgery and alternative intubation techniques. I’ve been an instructor on airway courses and and airway workshops and have presented related topics at national conferences.
In 2015, I undertook a sabbatical placement and I have completed post-graduate qualifications in transthoracic echocardiography from University of Melbourne in 2013.
I am currently studying the Post Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Echocardiography from the University of Queensland.
Research interests include videolaryngoscopy and management of neuromuscular blockade.
Other non-clinical pursuits include keeping up-to-date with the anaesthetic literature and regularly publishing a synopsis of recent, significant publications for our department.
